COMING SOON : ORLA KIELY BED LINEN

Sticking with fashion/interiors crossovers, while in London I dropped into the Orla Kiely flagship store in Covent Garden. I made a beeline for the pretty summer dresses, and the lovely ladies working there kindly gave me a full sale discount ahead of time just because I’d be jetting back to Dublin the day before the sale started: Legends! What might interest some of you though is that they revealed to me that Orla Kiely will be launching a range of bed linen in August! Gah! How cute is that gonna be? I’m finding it hard to walk down a street anywhere these days without seeing a gazillion of Orla's distinctive patterned handbags, but I wonder will all those people be as keen to apply Orla’s cheery aesthetic to their bedrooms? I know I will. In fact, I say “Sod the handbags; keep the homewares coming!”
